Identify the service you actually need
Tell the operating airline what animal you intend to travel with and ask which transport arrangements, if any, apply to that route. Do not add an adult passenger in the search as a substitute for a pet request. This guide does not establish that any carrier accepts the animal.
Ask about the specific itinerary
Have the animal’s details, intended carrier and complete flight sequence ready for the airline’s questions. Confirm applicable documents with the competent authorities for departure, transit and arrival. Cabin acceptance, checked transport and other arrangements must not be inferred from a generic ticket price.
Keep both confirmations
Ask how approval, any separate charge and the applicable conditions will be recorded, then compare them with the human passenger’s actual ticket.
